Take the pilot’s seat and experience the thrill of flying over South Florida with a certified instructor by your side. This hands-on flight lesson gives you the chance to explore aviation from the inside, from learning the basics on the ground to taking control of the aircraft once airborne.
With the vibrant coastline of Miami and Fort Lauderdale stretching below, you’ll enjoy unmatched views while gaining real flying skills. Whether you’re curious about aviation, considering future training, or just looking for an unforgettable adventure, this experience combines excitement with education in the skies above one of the world’s most scenic regions.
Arrival at the Airport
Make your way to the FBO or flight school — your confirmation has the exact address. You'll meet your certified flight instructor, who'll walk you through today's flight: where you'll go, what manoeuvres you'll practise, and what to expect from the aircraft.
The Pre-Flight Walk-Around
Before every flight, the aircraft gets a thorough inspection. Your instructor takes you through the walk-around — checking control surfaces, fuel, oil, and the systems that matter. Real pilots do this every single time, and today you're one of them.
Taking the Controls
Your instructor handles the take-off. Once you're airborne over Miami & Fort Lauderdale, the controls are yours. You'll practise straight and level flight, gentle turns, and climbs and descents. The aircraft responds directly to your inputs — more intuitively than most people expect. Your instructor coaches every step and is ready to take over if needed.
The View
There's a moment — usually somewhere over your first turn — where you stop thinking about the controls and just look out at what's below. That moment is the reason people come back for the next lesson.
Landing and Debrief
Your instructor takes the controls for approach and landing. Back on the ground, you'll debrief the flight — what you did well, what to build on, and what the path to a full private pilot certificate looks like from here.
All flight lessons are conducted by FAA-certified flight instructors. Flights are subject to weather and aircraft availability. If a flight is cancelled due to weather, your session will be rescheduled. Participants must be in reasonable health — consult your instructor if you have concerns. Minimum age requirements may apply; check your confirmation for details.
